The MBR advises, for example, on:

• antisemitic, racist or otherwise discriminatory statements
• campaigns against refugees, their accommodation and supporters
• racist and right-wing graffiti and stickers
• hate speech on social media channels
• extreme right-wing gatherings and meetings
• renting premises to hold extreme right-wing events

Regardless of specific incidents in the field of right-wing extremism and racism, MBR employees also advise, support and qualify organisations, institutions and facilities in the longer term. They do not offer standard formats, but develop customised offers together with those responsible. The MBR ist active in the entire Cologne administrative region. Together with affected and committed people, the MBR team develops concepts and ideas and supports civic engagement. The MBR is doing this in the following places, for example:

• in the workplace
• in schools, colleges or universities
• in sports clubs
• in neighbourhoods
• in public areas
• in educational, youth and leisure facilities
• on the internet
